Our Teams
Band
Bands play a significant role in cadet corps; they provide their corps with accompaniment for ceremonial occasions, add visibility within the community and build l’esprit de corps. Equally important, the cadet music program provides individual cadets with a challenging, worthwhile means of developing as cadets, musicians and members of the community.

Biathlon
Biathlon is a sport that combines physical fitness with marksmanship skills through a combination of two activities.
- Physical fitness: this aspect may be conducted in the traditional winter version of skiing or through the use of the summer version with running; and
- Marksmanship: the marksmanship aspects may be conducted using an air rifle

Drill and Ceremonial
The aim of drill and ceremonial is to contribute to efficiency and to maintain a high degree of excellence that cadets shall demonstrate:
- ensuring that the Cadets efficiently march and manoeuvre together as one; and
- promoting discipline, alertness, precision, pride, steadiness and the cohesion necessary for success.
Drill is the basis of all teamwork.

Marksmanship
Cadets will be taught many lessons about marksmanship, but the most important is safety.
Five principles of marksmanship are taught to help cadets improve their skills – position, aiming, holding, breathing, and trigger control.

Orienteering
Orienteering is an individual and team-based navigational sport where cadets use a detailed map and a compass to find their way through a pre-defined course. The goal is to locate a series of control points, marked on the map, in the fastest time possible.

Seamanship
Seamanship activities encompass ropework, rigging, knots, and learning naval communication.
